BRASS PIPE, WATER
Description: This comes in various diameters; 3/4 inch is common. It is available in lengths up to 20 feet.
Buying information: Brass pipe is good where water is very corrosive. It lasts longer than other types of pipe (it doesn't scale or clog), so it is a favorite of plumbers in certain situations, such as the run between the water company pipe and the house water meter.
How-to hint: If brass pipe is connected to galvanized, dielectric fittings must be used to prevent corrosion.
