WATER SUPPLY TUBE, WATER
Description: Standard water supply tube comes in four different forms: chrome-covered copper, plastic, rough copper (no chrome), and corrugated copper, and in small diameters (usually 3/8 or 1/2 inch). Buying information: Sinks, toilets, and lavatories have water supply tubes leading to them, and are connected to fixtures by some sort of compression fitting -- basically a nut that screws parts tight. Cut-off valves control the water supply. How-to hints: The most important task when installing a water supply tube is to cut it exactly right -- not too long and not too short. With copper this is not so easy; consequently, plastic tube is usually best for people without great skills. It bends and is forgiving of error. Get a head start on improving your house with
