I saw these two books priced at $25.97 at a building supply store.

Time-Life Books: Complete Home Improvement, hard bound, Time-Life Books, $27.95.

Time-Life Home Repair and Improvement series.

These are available in hard cover individual volumes (porches, plumbing, basic wiring etc.) and in special paper back editions. We have even seen some sold a remaindered books (close-outs) for about $5.
