Sunday April 20, 2002 is Easter and Sunday, May 11 is Mother's Day. If your mother, grandmother, or godmother is on the Internet, you can send an e-card for free. If they have never gotten an e-card before, it can be quite exciting. You might want to send one in addition to a paper card just for the fun of it.

#5. BASIC INVESTMENT ADVICE
Its really quite simple

• Start saving early. A small amount saved regularly early in life will yield much more than a large amount saved regularly later (it's that compound interest!).
• Have savings automatically deducted so you never notice.
• Invest in a balance of stocks and bonds. A stock broker I trust and have known for years said the best long term mix is 30% bonds and 70% stock.
  
• As you near retirement age, shift your portfolio mix to less volatile investments but don't be ultra conservative; it should still be a mix of stocks, bonds, and cash.
