==
Duct tape
A
new weather proof type is available from 3M; some are available in colors for invisible
repairs.
==
Roll of black electric tape
This
is essential for electric wire and other electric repairs.
==
Utility knife
Cheap
plastic ones work well and are available at Wal-Mart. They are designed so that when the
tip of a blade gets dull, you simply snap off the end to bring up a new sharp
point.
==
Adjustable wrench (Harry recommends the Crescent(r) brand.)
You
might keep a small one (6 inch) in the house and a large one (10 inch) in your car so that
you will have two sizes - large ones give you more leverage. Sometimes these are called
crescent style wrenches; this is not the same as the Crescent(r) brand itself.
==
Hacksaw
A
hacksaw can be used to cut a variety of materials besides metal; for example, it is very
useful for cutting plastic plumbing pipe. You can even cut frozen meat, but use a clean
blade! Get a set of inexpensive new blades and replace the blade every so
often.
