Obviously you can use these tools in your home as well, but I would put them back in a tool box in your car so you always have them when you are on the road.

== Cheap imitation swiss army knife

You can find these at Wal-Mart and other stores for $2-3 dollars. They are incredibly useful; these may include a file, saw, several knives, scissors, and an awl.

== WD-40

This is an all purpose lubricant and penetrating oil.

== Bungee cords

Use these for tying down or securing items or to hold your trunk down when the stuff in there is just too big. In a pinch you can even put furniture secured with bungee cords on your roof if your drive slowly and carefully.

== Duct tape

Keep a second roll in your car for emergency hose repair, seat repair, window repair, to secure loose wires, etc.
