9.1.1 CUT THE COST OF ATM MACHINES

Many people are infuriated at the high cost of using an ATM machine not affiliated with their bank. Typically the owner of the machine charges you $1.50 and then your bank socks you with another $1.50. The manager of a bank gave me this tip. Many credit unions will not charge you for using their ATM. While your own bank will still charge you, this tip can cut your costs in half. Call your local credit union and ask about its policy.
