GALVANIZED PIPE, WASTE

Description: This is iron pipe that has been galvanized and has threaded ends. The standard length is 21 feet, and it commonly comes 1/2- or 3/4-inch diameter, and larger.

Buying information: Used for straight runs of water pipe all over the house, galvanized pipe is not used much anymore because it must be threaded, sometimes on site,.a difficult job. Also, it tends to scale, which can lead to blockages.

How-to hint: While the standard length is 21 feet, plumbing supply outlets, for a small charge, will cut it to the size needed.
