How-to hints: These hangers can save a lot of time, in this case when installing beams or joists. In standard joist hanging, for example, the joists must be notched and then rested on and nailed to a ledger strip, which is nailed to the box or perimeter joist. The framing fastener is simply set in place on the box joist and nailed.
