WIRE NUT

WIRE NUT, electrical hardware

Description: This comes in a variety of sizes and colors (usually a code for size) and is basically a fluted cap with internal threads.

Buying information: It is used to splice wires. Strip the wires, insert the bare ends in the nut, and twist the nut to fasten it on and make the connection. Make sure that these are twisted on tightly, and back them up with a wrap of electrical tape over the skirt connector for extra safety.
