OPEN-CONSTRUCTION CLAMP PLUG

OPEN-CONSTRUCTION CLAMP PLUG, electrical hardware

Description: This is an open-construction plug with a pair of screws on the neck.

Buying information: It is particularly good for items that are frequently plugged and unplugged, such as vacuum cleaners. The wires are attached to the screws as in a regular open-construction plug, but tightening the clamping screws on the neck keeps the strain off the connections, when the cord is pulled from the outlet, and helps ensure that the wires won't pull off the screw terminals.
