FUSES INTRODUCTION
Fuses,
like circuit breakers, work on a simple principle, Each is designed to handle a specified
amount of current. When the current exceeds that amount, a metal linkage in the fuse
melts: The current stops flowing before the overloaded wires can heat up. A fuse, then, is
a safety device, and you should never try to circumvent it.
