CORNER BRACE
Description: This is an L-shaped piece that looks like a bent bar. It has screw holes for mounting and comes in sizes from 1 inch long by 1/2 inch wide to 8 inches long by more than 1 inch wide.
Buying information: As the sizes get larger (over 5 inches), screw holes are normally staggered rather than being in one line. Corner braces are good for strengthening and supporting box corners and window and door frames.
How-to hint: Mount braces on inside corners, first drilling pilot holes for screws.
