CONCRETE MIX, MASONRY PATCHERS

Description: This is a gray powder mixed with tiny stones or gravel, called aggregate.

Buying information: Concrete is by far the strongest of the premix cements. It can be used for making large patches in concrete as well as for building things. As mentioned above, however, premixed concrete can get expensive for a large project, so you may prefer to mix it from scratch.

How-to hints: If you have a large area to fill, you can first dump in anything solid -- big stones, pieces of block, and so on -- before pouring the concrete mix. This will save money spent on mix without sacrificing strength.
