For 20 years SavvyDiscounts has been about frugal living. The website concentrates on everyday expenses and covers a wide range of expense categories such as: groceries, utilities, clothing, insurance, automobile expenses, travel, Christmas giving, borrowing, telephone & cell phone costs, stock piling, when to buy used and when to buy new, free and low cost government services, home improvement, healthcare and medicine. The information at SavvyDiscounts has been fully documented and uses real numbers based on extensive research. SavvyDiscounts contends that the average household can save more than $5000 a year with no change in lifestyle once they learn the information available at the website.

The information at SavvyDiscounts has been used extensively by the media for the last 20 years. Rick Doble has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, a segment on ABC-TV's 20/20 was devoted to his money saving tips, and he was interviewed by National Public Radio (NPR). See the next section for more detail about coverage nationwide in magazines, TV and radio.

In addition to the content on the web, SavvyDiscounts was published on paper for a number of years; 20 16-page issues were published for a total of 320 pages. This content will also be included in the sale of SavvyDiscounts.
