7.1 DANGERS - ACCIDENTS - DO-IT-YOURSELF - DIY
Also
consider the following:
Children
and pets: Never allow children or pets in your work area. You are asking for
trouble.
The
right tools: Make sure you have the right tool for the job or don't do it. Lots of
injuries have been caused by using the wrong gizmo. You can rent or borrow many
tools.
Here
are some horror stories I've seen:
==
Insulation was installed with the paper backing facing the wrong way. This caused moisture
to go into the attic and rot the wood rafters.
==
A friend took the carburetor out of his car to rebuild it. Eventually he gave up and had
his car towed to the garage where he sheepishly handed all the pieces to the
mechanic.
